Hello! what a nice portrait you have here! how big is this may I ask? some of these details that you have captured would be very difficult if the piece were small.

There are some really great things going on in this piece- I compared this drawing to the source photo you provided and the similarity is very much there. I also love that you transferred a colored image into the grey scale. Your technique and rendering skill is very beautiful, and the overall smoothness of the shading is spectacular (particularly in the face!). This could literally pass as a photograph! I knew it wasn't one, but I didn't even believe this was graphite at first... in spots it almost resembles at black and white pastel drawing. The hair is probably my favorite portion of the piece, the section by the hand allows me to feel the sensation of holding hair! great job there.

Now for some small suggestions- I usually tell pencil artists to bump up the dark's but you have done exactly that! you have a little bit of the opposite problem in this drawing. It isn't even much of a problem, but if you wanted to take this image to the next level you may want to think a little bit more about the brightest sections of the drawing. The face almost sticks out too much because its entirety is the lightest part! if you look close at the source photo there are also small highlights in the arms that could be given more detail to balance the image out. I would love to see that long highlight on her right arm be very accentuated! that arm almost has too much medium value.

Again, congrats on your dark's.
Great work!
